Since being launched in south Kansas City, the Striving To Reduce Violence In Neighborhoods initiative has spread to four other neighborhoods—Northeast and Mid-Town KC, as well as Independence and Raytown. The goal is to make every neighborhood safe.

All COMBAT-funded agencies are required to participate. STRiVIN' brings together these agencies with law enforcement officials, school administrators, elected leaders, social workers, health care professionals and others to seek solutions to problems.
