2022 COMBAT Community Impact Report

2022 Community Impact Report

We've completed our 2022 COMBAT Community Impact Report.

The perils of fentanyl and other drugs, combined with increased crime in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, made COMBAT support for the community even more crucial in 2022 and now going into 2023—and beyond.

COMBAT's mission is to address drug abuse, drug-related crime and all violence holistically. We can't arrest our way out of these problems, but COMBAT continues to be an essential source of funding for local law enforcement. More than $23 million in COMBAT funding supported the Jackson County Drug Task Force, Jackson County Prosecutor's Office, Kansas City Police Department, other area police departments and the courts in 2022.

But COMBAT also provided more than $12.5 million to fund 99 Prevention and Treatment programs throughout Jackson County—programs expected to provide services for about 57,000 men, women and children.
