As the COVID-19 pandemic continues—with many experts expecting a surge in infections during the fall and winter months—individuals may be facing the loss of not only their health, but also their jobs and homes. With some losing hope, ReDiscover and Show-Me Hope Missouri are teaming up to provide crisis counseling, education and resources in this time of need.
All these services are being provided free and are available anonymously. ReDiscover and Show-Me Hope want to help individuals realize hope is not lost and they have a place to turn to for help.

COVID-19 Distress Helpline
The Missouri Department of Mental Health created the toll-free Disaster Distress Helpline—800-985-5990—to provide immediate counseling to anyone who needs help dealing with the aftermath of a traumatic incident. This is a free, confidential and multilingual crisis support service also avaiable by texting "TalkWithUs" to 66746.
Callers and texters are connected to trained and caring professionals from crisis counseling centers in the network. The Helpline staff provides confidential counseling, referrals, and other needed support services.
