Program Summary: Healing House serves as one of the primary Room and Board providers in Jackson County for people recovering from Substance Use Disorder (SUD). Jackson County COMBAT supports residential services for 232 participants through two programs: 1) Supervised Participants living at the Healing House and attending the Imani 28-day intensive inpatient program; and 2) Both homeless female and male participants that have no outside funding available for supervised transitional living.

Healing House serves as one of the primary Room and Board providers in Jackson County for people recovering from Substance Use Disorder (SUD).
In 2018 Healing House served 692 participants in their program. Beyond meeting the basic human need for food and shelter in a safe, sober environment, the Healing House is designed specifically to help create and sustain long-term recovery, addressing the physical, mental, emotional and spiritual components of each person.
Healing House provides group residential living and assists with various daily needs including:
Jackson County COMBAT supports residential services for 232 participants through two programs: 1) Supervised Participants living at the Healing House and attending the Imani 28-day intensive inpatient program; and 2) Both homeless female and male participants that have no outside funding available for supervised transitional living.
1) COMBAT will support 200 male participants in the Swope-Imani 28-day intensive treatment program. These participants will attend treatment during the day and will return to Healing House for the evening programs such as: 12-step meetings, Relapse Prevention, mentoring programs and special events that are open to their families.
2) COMBAT will also support 32 men or women participants that are referred from Drug Court, Department of Corrections, hospitals or social detox centers. These participants will reside in Healing House supervised transitional living and attend 12-step meetings, Relapse Prevention, mentoring programs and special events that are open to their families. Additionally, they will attend soft skill programs, smoking sensation classes, and healthy eating and exercise groups.
COMBAT Funding: $291,613.92

• employment training and assistance with identifying employment opportunities
• transportation when needed

• opportunities to grow in faith and spirituality
• development of healthy social networks that participate in clean and sober activities
• active community participation
