Community Services League

Program Summary:
CSL is expanding its community development work (with its integrated coaching relationships) into Northwest Independence and Sugar Creek. Long known as the most impoverished and violent part of Indenpendence, the northern portion of Van Horn High School’s catchment area is ripe with possibilities and opportunities—in spite of its challenges. As an expansion of the STRIVIN’ initiative in Hawthorne, CSL will bring community partnerships, long-time programs and new initiatives into these hot spots with a resilient-minded, family stability lens.
